Former President Jimmy Carter's new book Palestine Peace Not Apartheid is a must read. Palestine Peace Not Apartheid is a frank, clear, comprehensive, and balanced summary of the Middle East actors' efforts to reach peace.1 Carter's voice is that of an open, neutral, no non-sense, seasoned, senior Middle East negotiator talking directly to these actors. Recent criticism of both the book and Carter, primarily by Jewish groups, is unwarranted and unhelpful. Expecting Israel to achieve peace sooner rather than later is not anti-semitic.
