The Bush administration celebrates Sunshine Week 2007 (March 11-17) by continuing to remove hundreds-of-thousands of public domain documents from public access.

Today, in an effort to highlight some of these abuses and trends toward darkness the Senate Judiciary Committee held hearings on Open Government: Reinvigorating the Freedom of Information Act.

This legislation (S. 849) will help prevent many of the Bush administration abuses by making disclosure (sunshine) the default mode of our government.
