Senator Feinstein's unbounded morphing mission statement can be significantly shortened—quagmire.
"I believe strongly that Taliban forces in Afghanistan and Pakistan, al Qaeda, the Haqqani Network, Lashkar-e-Tayyiba and other extremist groups represent a real and significant threat to the security of Afghanistan and Pakistan. Unchecked, they threaten the United States and our allies as well. The plan put forward represents the most credible effort to reverse the Taliban's gains and deny terrorists a safe haven, while giving the Afghan people the best chance for security and opportunity over the long term."--Senator Feinstein, December 2009--
Congress must end all Afghanistan1 funding unrelated to the immediate withdrawal of our troops from Afghanistan or non-military humanitarian assistant to the Afghan people.

Reuters, U.S. spends $23 billion on Afghan contracts so far.
Perhaps our Congress can reprogram some of the estimated $300 billion appropriated for the Afghanistan Debacle and send it to the states over the next 3-5 years.
So far an estimated $23 billion has gone to Afghanistan reconstruction and development contracts—wonder how much went to the thoroughly corrupt Karsai and cronies?

1. The Iraq Debacle appears to be on a wind down trajectory. All funding unrelated to the immediate withdrawal of our troops from the Iraq Debacle or non-military humanitarian assistants must be immediately stopped.
